PRM Profile

The Group currently employs over 200 people within its seven companies. There are three trading companies: PRM Distribution retail Northern Ireland; PRM Ireland retail Ireland and PRM Food Solutions food service all Ireland. Supporting the trading companies are three service companies: PRM Logistics operating the facilities and distribution fleet in Lisburn; PRM Haulage operating the articulated vehicles, managing the inbound haulage from UK, Ireland and Europe and distribution accross Ireland. PRM Enterprises manages all company assets Galberts Limited manufacture a range of garlic products in Drogheda and is the base for our van sales fleet.

Generating The Business

Sales Division - Retail

Operating throughout Ireland our team of Account Managers, Sales Executives, Van Sales and Support Staff offer both our customers and suppliers profitable growth via strong trade relationships. The influencing and execution of our suppliers' brand plans ensures that PRM offers customer value and choice which has led to our ongoing success.

Business Development

PRM Business Development is the link with our suppliers. With key input into brand plans, new product development, promotions and pricing structure, our Trading Team provides the business with the ingredients for our continued growth. This now includes the responsibility for our own brand Galberts. Key to our relationship building strategy is our PR, Events Management and Marketing Function which focuses on growing both PRM and our supplier brands.

Sales Division - Food Service

Offering a 'One Stop Shop' solution for our Food Service customers with a range of over 1500 product lines across chilled, frozen and ambient, PRM Food Solutions ensures that we not only offer the range required at competitive prices but achieves the service expected by this sector.

Manufacturing

The Galberts brand has been established for over 13 years and is the leader in garlic bread products. Now owned by PRM, the range has been extended. We continue to manufacture and offer an exciting range of products to appeal to the savoury, convenience and dessert categories.

Delivering The Business

Supply Chain

Responsible for the order capture and stock replenishment of over 1000 product lines reaching our customer base across Ireland 364 days a year. We control purchasing and stock replenishment ensuring that stock levels are maintained, continually reducing our customers' order lead times and maintaining consistently high service leads. We have the capability of receiving and effectively processing customers'and suppliers' orders by a variety of communication channels.

Haulage

With our own multi-temperature controlled fleet in excess of 40 vehicles, supported by a team of independent hauliers. PRM Haulage provides a range of transport solutions across Europe, UK and Ireland. Currently handling in excess of 160 loads per week, the Haulage Division has capability to manage consignments from one pallet to twenty-six pallet loads across frozen, chilled and ambient temperature regimes with full temperature traceability.

Logistics

With a highly trained staff, logistics is responsible for the effective receipt, stock management, order assembly and delivery of our product portfolio. Our extensive logistics network allows us to deliver 300,000 cases per week to distribution points thoughout Ireland from our strategically placed hub in Lisburn.

We operate from a modern facility with state of the art computerised stock management and temperature monitoring systems, providing full stock traceability and chill chain maintenance.

Our Quality Assurance System has been designed to provide industry recognised procedures for food safety, protecting our suppliers', customers and consumers' interests. We are regarly audited and having received approvals from STS, Yum! Restaurants International, Muller Dairy, Kraft and Grampian Country Pork, our Logistics Division prides itself on the high standard of service we provide.

Servicing The Business

Finance & Information Technology

Using the latest technologies, our IT infrastructure continues to evolve communications with both customers and suppliers offering up to date management information systems including sales information, EDI order receipt and invoicing, electronic statements and detailed performance figures for analysis. We offer bespoke software for promotion management, enabling supplier funds to be monitored and controlled.

We have the capability of providing EAN-128 backdoor scanning labels, with the capacity to interface with supplier systems such as SAP, thus enabling effective stock management and accurate invoicing.

Internal systems development have included the introduction of electronic document management, electronic order capture, major upgrade to main system software and ongoing development of a warehouse management system.
